Rank Tracker Overview

The Rank Tracker is a useful tool in tracking your keyword rankings in the Amazon search results. It is important to know which keywords are ranking, because those that are higher in rank, usually leads to higher organic sales as well.

In this article, we will give you a run-through of the tool and show you how you can use the Egrow Rank Tracker tool in tracking your or your competitor's product keywords.

Navigating the Rank Tracker

Let's get to know some of the icons and other elements on the main page:

  • Columns - The columns show the metrics for each product keyword/s you are tracking. You can select which columns you would like to include on your default view by clicking the list icon on the top-right corner. Let's define each of the metrics below:
    • Sales Rank - This shows the BSR (Best Seller Rank) of the product under the Category. You can see the Category when you hover over the sales rank. The up or down arrow with values shows the change in BSR for that product in a day, under a certain category.
    • Trend - This shows you a historical data of the average position of the product, for all the keywords you are tracking.
    • Avg. Search Volume - This refers to the average monthly search volume for all the keywords you are tracking in that certain project.
    • Avg. Position - This is the average rank of the product, for all the keywords you are tracking.
    • Top Keywords 5/10/30 - This shows the number of keywords that are ranking in the top 5/10/30 results.
    • Weekly Change - This shows the change in the average position of the product from the previous week, for all the keywords you are tracking.
    • Keywords - The number of keywords you are tracking for a certain product.
  • Icons - when you hover over the last column of each project, you will see an option to delete the project, or open the product page in Amazon.
  • Chart - When you click the chart icon under the Trend column, you will see a chart that shows the historical data of the average position of the product, for all the keywords you are tracking. The chart can be modified according to the data fields you would like to include (it can also be exported!). Just click the chart icon under the Trend column, and click the fields you would like to include (Best Position, Avg. Position, Worst Position)
